The Blue Ocean Strategy For Home Inspectors

I was reading a great book on marketing the other day…..for the third time. The title is “Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make Competition Irrelevant”. While I was reading it, it came to me that the core idea of this book is directly applicable to marketing a home inspection business.

The concept of the book is pretty simple. The authors view of marketing is that there are 2 marketing spaces. The “red ocean” represents a marketing space where all of the sharks are fighting each other for the same resources (hence the bloody water of the red ocean).
